About

About Should I Even Try?

An independent review site that pays for software, tests it in real use, and publishes a clear Try, Skip, or Mixed verdict.

We answer the question before the purchase

Should I Even Try? reviews AI tools, companion apps, dating apps, and software people are considering spending money or time on. We buy subscriptions with our own money, use real accounts, record what happened, and publish the limits alongside the wins.

What makes the reviews different

The score is not a vibe. Companion apps use a weighted rubric covering memory, conversation, progression, images, privacy, pricing, reliability, and whether the company looks likely to remain available. Other categories use methods suited to the product and state those methods inside the review.

Editorial independence

Product relationships do not buy a score, an edit, or removal of a finding. Every product is tested against the same published standard for its category and can lose points under it.
