What we collect
Reading the site does not require an account. We use a self-hosted Umami analytics service to measure visits and page use. It does not set advertising cookies or build profiles for ad targeting.
If you subscribe, we send your email address to Buttondown so it can deliver the newsletter and manage unsubscribes. If you suggest a tool or send feedback, we process the information you submit, including an email address when you choose to provide one, through Resend for email delivery.
Why we use this information
We use aggregate traffic data to understand which reviews people read and to maintain the site. Newsletter information is used only to send the newsletter. Contact-form information is used only to read and respond to your submission, plan coverage, or investigate the issue you reported.
Service providers
The site is hosted on Railway and delivered through Cloudflare. Newsletter subscriptions are handled by Buttondown. Contact-form email is delivered by Resend. Our analytics endpoint is hosted under eudaio.io and runs Umami.
Retention and deletion
Newsletter subscribers can unsubscribe from any newsletter email. To request access to or deletion of information submitted through the contact form, email [email protected]. We may retain limited records where required for security, abuse prevention, or legal obligations.

Reviews link to third-party products. Their privacy practices are controlled by those companies, not by Should I Even Try. Read their current policies before sharing sensitive information.
